SPEAKER BIOS
Amy Zhou grew up in Shanghai, where she began her hospitality career working in restaurants in high school. She earned her first position as a sommelier at 20 years old. Amy moved to New York in 2011 to pursue a B.S. in Hospitality Management at NYU. She previously worked at BR Guest Hospitality and eventually became the youngest GM in the group, before joining Cote where she met Victoria James and Cynthia Cheng. Alongside these two women, Amy is a co-founder of Wine Empowered, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that offers tuition-free wine education to women and minorities. Amy has been honored as part of Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list.
Eric Chan is the CFO for the LA Clippers, where he is responsible for leading the organization’s financial operations. Eric has 19+ years of financial and operational experience in various industries. Prior to joining the Clippers, he served as CFO for The Bouqs Company (2017-18) and Loot Crate (2015-17). He also previously served as the SVP of Finance at Mattel Inc. Eric earned a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
Christine Chang is the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Glow Recipe, a globally acclaimed skincare brand known for its emphasis on natural, fruit-powered ingredients. Glow Recipe’s creation was inspired by and rooted in Christine and her co-founder Sarah’s Korean heritage. The brand has since gained global recognition for its commitment to bringing Korean beauty secrets to a wider audience. Christine's passion for skincare started during her time at L'Oréal in Korea. She later became AVP/Head of Global Skincare Marketing for Kiehl’s in NYC.
Carol Pak is a native New Yorker and Founder & CEO of Sool/Mákku. While working at ZX Ventures (AB InBev’s VC arm), Carol led a new beverage product and category launch in China. In 2017, she started Sool to globalize Korean alcoholic beverages. In 2023, Carol was recognized as one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Drinks Innovators of the Year. Carol has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a MBA from Columbia Business School.
